Hydrofoils are a type of vessel which use foil shaped appendages to generate lift, raising the hull from the water and significantly reducing resistance.
Typically, 1-3 hydrofoil elements are used. The foils may be incidence controlled. They may be fully submerged and connected by struts, or U-shaped. They may be split.
