Two-Compartment Standard

A two-compartment standard is a phrase describing a vessel who has been designed to remain afloat with any two adjacent compartments flooded. While it is common to still consider small vessels for a one-compartment standard today, the principles of a 'compartment standards' have been superceeded with probablistic damage models.
