U-69 was a type VIIC u-boat of the Kriegsmarine, launched in 1940 and sunk February 13th, 1943 off the coast of Newfoundland. She was the first vessel of her type, and was relatively successful, having sunk 67,500 GRT of shipping during her patrols.
Sinking of the Caribou
